Current class read
Bishop is strongest when the page protects its buff window.
HolyMochi's Bishop guide focuses on skill order and companion setup. Current Bishop discussion keeps the same base, but adds sharper checks for 4th Job timing, buff overlap, MP sustain, and when Skill Damage support is actually strong enough to beat generic damage pages.
Holy Fountain becomes a boss tool at mastery 68
When its recovery effect activates after that mastery, it adds a Boss Monster Damage window. Treat placement and uptime as part of the boss setup.
MP above 50% changes the damage read
Advanced Blessing and Element Amplification both reward good MP sustain. If MP collapses, the page can look weaker than it really is.
Angel Ray is not a normal-mob farming slot
HolyMochi's guide specifically avoids Angel Ray in Chapter Hunt and Normal Monster pages because it is slow and single target. Use it in boss, stun, and PvP pages instead.
Triumph Feather creates score variance
Korean World Boss testing and main-channel discussion both point to large swings when Triumph Feather and other Bishop damage sources do or do not land during the real burst window.
Buff duration and cooldown reduction are quality checks
Buff Mastery, buff-duration lines, and cooldown tools can matter more for Bishop than raw CP when the failure is an uptime gap.
Skills and job data
Use MSI Jobs for exact skill data, then use this page for content setup.
Bishop has more practical active skills than one page can hold forever. These setups keep the obsolete basic-attack skills out after Big Bang, swap Angel Ray or Teleport by content, and explain passives through timing notes instead of active slots.

Current basic-attack effect. Energy Bolt, Holy Arrow, and Shining Ray fall out of active-tab planning after this point.

Healing field and Bishop's key boss-support window after the level 68 mastery.

Final Damage and MP-cost reduction. Stronger when MP remains above the mastery threshold.

Stacking Final Damage window. Time it before the part of the fight that survives.

Long summon. Keep it early enough to work through the window, not after the target is already gone.

Boss and stun tool. Drop it from normal farming pages unless the final target is the wall.

Optional pathing/cancel slot. Use it when the map contact is bad, not when it steals boss timing.

Attack, damage taken reduction, and debuff cleanse after mastery. Strong in boss and PvP stability checks.
Companion and artifact checks
Check these before changing the whole page.
HolyMochi's guide says main companions depend on rarity, level, and account stats. Start from the content setup, then test the actual failure: KPM, MP, Crit Rate, final-target HP, groggy timing, or survival.
Crit Rate decides how much F/P Mage you need
If Crit Rate is not stable, add F/P Mage before blaming the skill page. If Crit Rate is capped, move the slot into Skill Damage, Boss Damage, Attack Speed, or utility.
I/L Mage stays the farming page
Chapter Hunt, EXP Dungeon, and Equipment Dungeon usually start from Normal Monster Damage before boss or burst pages.
Hexagon is the long-fight check
Move Hexagon Necklace up when the content lasts over a minute and the winning window has time to stack. Use HP left, score, or clear time as the proof.
Book is mandatory only while Crit Rate is short
If the account cannot reach 100% Crit Rate without Book of Ancient, keep it high. Once Crit Rate is capped, test Bottle, Hexagon, or content-specific artifacts against it.
Bottle is a broad damage test
Bottle of Emotion is worth comparing in most Bishop pages once Attack Speed and MP sustain can support it. It should replace the weakest lower slot, not the Crit Rate fix.
Candle is for opening burst
Use Candle for Stage Breakthrough and PvP-style opening burst tests. If the fight runs long, compare it against Hexagon instead of treating both as the same job.
Peach is the herb pouch utility check
Use Peach Tree Herb Pouch when damage-taken uptime, buff removal, or debuff timing changes the clear. It is a utility slot before it is a raw-damage slot.
Guild Conquest still starts Shadower
For Guild Conquest, Shadower is the main-companion utility check because armor shred and defense-buff removal are the point of the setup.
Content setups
Open the content you are building for.
Each setup shows the skill tabs, main and alt-main companion picks, six sub companions, ability priority, artifact order, then the swap check for that content.
Manual timing
Manual Bishop play is about making the buff window land.
For boss content, the fountain needs to exist where players and summons can receive the recovery-triggered Boss Monster Damage window.
World Boss testing points to stronger scores when Advanced Blessing, Infinity, Holy Fountain, and companion summons are ready before the second groggy window.
Element Amplification and Advanced Blessing both punish poor MP sustain. If MP falls, test Icy Soul Rock carefully or replace it.
Keep Angel Ray for boss, stun, PvP, and final-target checks. Remove it from pure normal-mob pages.
If the run fails from Crit Rate, misses, survival, or KPM, solve that line instead of forcing a different buff order.
Cubing priority
Prioritise the line that keeps Bishop's window alive.
- Critical Rate to 100%.F/P Mage and Book can help while the account is short; do not over-invest once capped.
- Critical Damage.High value after Crit Rate is solved.
- Skill Damage and Final Damage.Broad Bishop scaling for Big Bang, Genesis, Angel Ray, Bahamut, and buffed burst windows.
- Boss or Normal Monster Damage.Match the line to the content setup instead of following CP.
- INT %, Min / Max Damage.Use these when the core damage buckets and Crit Rate are already healthy.
- Defense Penetration.Move it up for World Boss, Guild Conquest, Guild War, Boss Raid, and late boss walls.
- MP, HP, and survivability lines.Keep them when MP thresholds, consecutive boss hits, or PvP survival decide the result.
Star Force priority
Spend Star Force where it changes the next clear.
- Unlock the next content gate.Push Star Force first when the requirement blocks the next farm, dungeon, or boss attempt.
- Push weapon-side damage when timer is the wall.Stage Breakthrough and boss checks usually need damage before scattered upgrades.
- Raise armor when Bishop dies before the window.Boss Raid, Guild War, and PvP can need survivability before more damage matters.
- Stop when the bottleneck changes. If the loss is MP, Crit Rate, misses, or manual timing, more Star Force can be the expensive answer to the wrong problem.
Tips and FAQ
Common Bishop checks
- Do not equip old basic attacks after Big Bang.Energy Bolt, Holy Arrow, and Shining Ray are older basic-attack effects and should not take active-tab slots after the 4th Job setup is online.
- Angel Ray is content-specific.Use it for boss, stun, PvP, and final-target checks; remove it from pure Chapter Hunt and normal-monster pages.
- Teleport is optional.Use it when map pathing or contact is bad. Drop it when the page needs every slot for boss timing.
- Main companion is not fixed by job name.Use the strongest page that solves the content: I/L for normal mobs, Night Lord for boss damage, F/P for Crit Rate, Attack Speed support, or utility where needed.
- MP is part of Bishop damage. When MP falls below key thresholds, Final Damage and buff value can fall with it.
- 4th Job is the real Bishop turn.Main-channel discussion repeatedly frames Bishop as much stronger after the 4th Job buff package comes online, while early bossing can feel rough.
- Skill Damage needs enough active value. If the page is low level or the burst window misses, generic damage, Crit Rate, or Boss Damage pages can test better.
- World Boss is not pure full auto.Close Bishop scores can move when Holy Fountain, buffs, companions, and Triumph Feather line up with the second groggy window.
Does HolyMochi's guide include artifact order?
HolyMochi's guide gives skill presets, companion presets, main-companion rules, and sub-companion swap logic. Mochi also added general artifact notes: Hexagon for content over a minute, Book while Crit Rate is not capped, Bottle as a strong broad test, Candle for breakthrough/opening burst, and Peach as the herb-pouch utility check. The rows here combine those notes with MSI's current content guides.
Which skills are removed from active tabs?
After 4th Job, Energy Bolt, Holy Arrow, and Shining Ray are older basic-attack effects. Angel Ray and Teleport are not deleted from the guide; they rotate in and out based on whether the content needs stun/boss targeting or movement.
Can I use the same companion job more than once?
You cannot equip the exact same companion page twice. The same job can appear as different rarities, such as Legendary, Unique, and Epic, then missing pages should be replaced by the closest effect you own.
Why does the guide mention Buccaneer and Corsair?
Main Discord discussion added them as later-stage checks after Crit Rate, min/max spread, and the usual Night Lord / I/L Mage slots are handled. They are tests, not replacements for HolyMochi's main structure.
